The referral benefit on the Model 3
Like the Model Y, a new Model 3 ordered via a referral link gives 2,000 km of free Supercharging or €250 off. The benefit is identical — never pay for a “premium code”, there's no such thing.
Model 3 and the eco bonus: not eligible
The bad surprise for many buyers: the Model 3 is built in Shanghai and fails the ADEME eco-score required for the bonus écologique, so it is not eligible. Worse, the €3 100 maker's discount Tesla used to apply ended on 1er janvier 2026, alongside the scrappage grant.
Why the price doesn't save the Model 3
This is the most persistent confusion about this model. Buyers check the €47 000 cap, see their Model 3 sits comfortably under it, and conclude it qualifies for the bonus écologique. It doesn't — and the price has nothing to do with it.
The bonus imposes three cumulative conditions, not alternatives: a price under the cap, a mass under 2 400 kg, and an ADEME eco-score of at least 60/80. That eco-score rates the production and transport footprint. Because the Model 3 sold in France is built in Shanghai, it fails on that single criterion — whatever its price, weight or trim. A €35,000 Model 3 is still excluded.
What's genuinely left to play for on a Model 3
With the bonus off the table, it's worth being honest about what remains — and that the total is markedly smaller than for an eligible Model Y.
- The referral — around 2,000 km of Supercharging, free, provided you open the link before configuring. On a Model 3 this is currently the main "incentive" actually available, which says more about the hole the bonus leaves than about the referral.
- Inventory cars — already-built units, delivered quickly and sometimes discounted. The discount stacks with the referral: two independent mechanisms.
- Local schemes — some regions, metropolitan areas and municipalities run their own, with their own conditions. They're independent of the national bonus, so failing the bonus tells you nothing about failing a local one. Check with your own authority, never on a comparison site.
Two frequently cited schemes no longer count: the prime à la conversion, abolished on 1er janvier 2026, and Tesla's €3 100 maker's discount on the Model 3, which ended the same day. Any "total savings" figure including them is wrong.
The question that actually matters before you order
If the bonus écologique is decisive for your budget, the real trade-off isn't which referral code you use — they're identical — but which model you buy. A Berlin-built Model Y RWD can capture up to €5 700, plus any battery top-up. That's an order of magnitude beyond anything this page can get you.

The Model 3 is efficient — is the free-km reward worth less?
In euros, yes. The reward is counted in kilometres, and the most efficient car turns those kilometres into the least paid energy. The same ~2000 km is therefore worth slightly less on a Model 3 than on a Model Y. It remains the cheapest to run — the reward is just a smaller slice of a smaller bill.
