Is a Tesla referral free to use?
Yes. Using a referral code (or link) costs nothing, needs no account or sign-up, and doesn't change the car's price. Tesla simply adds the current benefit: in France today, 1,000 km of free Supercharging or €250 off a new Model 3 or Model Y.
What exactly is the benefit for Model 3 and Model Y in 2026?
1,000 km of free Supercharging or €250 off — a choice, not a stack. Beware of sites claiming “€500 + 1,000 km”: the €500 only ever applied to Model S/X, which are no longer sold new in France. Verified July 13, 2026.
Can I add the referral after I've ordered?
No. The benefit is not retroactive: the link must be clicked before you configure your car on tesla.com. It cannot be added once the order is placed. If you forget, contact Tesla support immediately — but nothing is guaranteed.
Referral link vs referral code — what's the difference?
None, really. A “referral link” (e.g. ts.la/<code>) is just the referrer's code wrapped in a URL. Clicking it pre-applies the code automatically — nothing to type. Tesla has no classic promo-code box to fill in.
Does it stack with the bonus écologique?
Yes — they're two separate schemes. The referral benefit sits on top of the 2026 bonus écologique. In practice this mainly helps the Model Y (eligible up to €5,700); the Shanghai-built Model 3 is not eco-bonus eligible. See our dedicated page.
How much does the referrer earn, and what's the cap?
The referrer earns €250 in Tesla Credits or 1,000 km of Supercharging per completed referral, capped at 10 referrals per year. Credits are usable on service, accessories or charging, valid ~12 months. The link is in the Tesla app → profile → Referrals.
