• Map the Supercharger network along your usual routes, to gauge how often you'll actually depend on it.
• If home charging is possible (house, or with building approval), check your own electricity contract: that's your comparison point, not a national figure we could publish here.

Order day: the choice between km and euros

3 habits that prevent bad surprises

1. Always check the live price in the app before plugging in — never a figure remembered from a previous visit.
2. Don't confuse type-approved and real-world consumption. Tesla's own ~15 kWh/100 km figures are a starting point; motorway driving, winter, or spirited driving push that number up.
3. Track your Supercharging membership status if you have one: it changes your per-kWh rate, so your own maths needs to reflect it.

After delivery: tracking your real cost

The charging history in the Tesla app shows the real cost of each session: it's the best way to check, month by month, whether your starting assumption held up, or whether your actual driving (long trips, winter) pushes the bill above our €0.42/kWh working assumption.
